Even a few weeks of language immersion in the U.S. is an experience that stays with you for a lifetime. That’s a fact.

To illustrate, here’s a personal story. The author of this article was lucky enough to spend three weeks in New York studying English in a summer school after 10th grade. It was the first time traveling alone to another country — across the ocean, no less — and it was absolutely incredible!

In just three weeks, my English improved so much that I even started thinking in it. I became more confident, which is a huge step for any teenager. And, of course, seeing one of the world’s most iconic cities with my own eyes was unforgettable.
