Switzerland is famous for its exquisite level of education. From prestigious international schools to traditional Swiss lyceums, the country offers a wide range of educational opportunities for people of all ages. Today we will look at some of the best educational institutions in Switzerland and their features.


1. Leman Manor School (Le Rosey):

   - Location: Geneva

Le Rosey School was founded in 1880 as a private school for boys, but girls were admitted to school only in 1967. The school offers instruction in English and foreign languages. Pupils spend the autumn and spring terms in Rolla, and in the winter term the school travels to Gstaad so that students can take part in the winter sports calendar.


Teaching is conducted in 2 languages: English and input. From 8 to 11 years old, children are trained in the Primary Bilingual Program, from 12 to 16 years old - in the Secondary Bilingual Program. After graduating from high school, you can continue your studies in the following programs: International Baccalaureate (IB) or French Baccalaureate.


During the autumn term, participants can participate in football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, horse riding, rugby, gymnastics, fitness and running. In winter - skiing, snowboarding, hockey, curling, sledding and snowshoeing. In the spring, children play tennis, beach volleyball, swimming, dancing, golf, fitness, athletics, sailing, rowing and water skiing.

Excursions and classes are organized for school students. Children can play musical instruments in the school orchestra. There is a theater studio in English and foreign languages.


Cost: training

First time registration: CHF 3,000.

Deposit - 47600 CHF (junior), 61300 (senior)

Tuition for 1 year - 97800 CHF (junior), 138900 (senior).


2. International School of Zurich (Zurich International School):

   - Location: Zurich


The Zurich International School (ZIS) is a leading not-for-profit day school offering a comprehensive educational program for local and international students aged 3 to 18 years in the Greater Zurich area. There is an additional bilingual course for students aged 3 to 9 years.

At ZIS, we encourage students to open up to new ideas and possibilities and to learn by trying and doing. Children are encouraged to move on, but to follow their own path. This means that what they learn can be transferred and transformed.


Each student is involved in a wide range of extracurricular activities, from art to sports, from debating to journalism. We encourage students to try new things so they can discover who they really want to be. We work to create an environment where students can be entrepreneurial because they feel supported. We encourage every child to achieve success while taking care of their mental health and caring for others.

 

Tuition fees at this school range from 16,300 to 36,600 CHF per year.

#3. International School of Geneva:

   - Location: Geneva

The International School of Geneva (French: Ecole Internationale de Genève), also known as "Ecolint" or "International School", is a private, non-profit international school located in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 1924 in the service of the League of Nations and the International Labor Organization (the world's first international organizations), it is the oldest international school in the world and the largest. with 'international' in its name.


Various Ecolint programs are accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Middle States Association (MSA). The last full accreditation was carried out in 2011, and the interim assessment was carried out in 2016.

Ecolint has completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) authorization procedures to offer PYP, MYP, IBDP and IBCP.

Ecolint offers a core curriculum in English and French to varying degrees depending on the campus and section.

#4. International School Basel:

   - Location: Basel


ILS-Basel is located in the very center of Basel and is one of the most popular schools. The school specializes in teaching German as a foreign language. The number of people in the group is much smaller than in many other schools. The school has friendly staff who will look after you during your stay at the school.


ISB is an International Baccalaureate (IB) world school. The school is accredited by both (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). ISB is authorized to be a PSAT and SAT testing center and an examination center for the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM).


ISBR programs for kindergartens, primary education, and lower secondary education programs (primary school program, middle school program) are not approved by the Volksschule (kindergarten, Primarstufe and Sekundarstufe) by the primary school office (Volksschulen), the administration for education (Erziehungsdirektion), Canton of Basel City.


Tuition fees from 31,000 CHF.
