The youngest child has been attending full-time school since I was 4 years old, as I work and reside permanently in Madrid. He's 8 now and we're not going to change schools! King's College, in my opinion, is the best English-speaking school in the vicinity of Madrid. An important feature of this school is that it regularly undergoes a British inspection of private schools that teach according to the British system. Not all English-speaking schools in Spain pass such a test. The school has excellent teachers and a high level of teaching. Spanish for young children is taught from the very beginning. High school students, as far as I know, should already have a minimum level of Spanish at the time of admission.

The school has excellent teachers and a really high level of teaching, when compared with many other schools in Spain, which position themselves as "British". I like that the staff of the school (even administrative) is really bilingual and has an excellent command of the English language, which, again, is not found in all "British" schools.

My daughter studied at this school for 2 years on the GCSE program. The first year they took her to day school, as they themselves lived in the country. From the second year, for family reasons, we had to transfer her to a boarding house, which we did not regret at all. Our child was very homely, it was always difficult for her to find a language with strangers and start communication herself. So we were a little worried about how she would be able to live alone on a boarding house. The advantage was that during the first year of study, she was able to make friends with two girls her age, who just lived on a boarding house. To make it easier for her to adapt, they asked the administration to move her in with one of the girls, and they met us halfway. As a result, she had no particular problems with adapting to an independent life. For the A-level program, she wanted to go to study in England, as she wants to enter universities there.

I would not recommend Kings Soto. Its costly and useful for students that need English immersion. And it does present the British system - which is overrated in my personal opinion now that I see it close up, but probable best if you want to go to a Brit Uni. But the school is inconsistent - limited resources - everyone is doing two jobs or no job. Teacher turn over is high - probably related to pay. Recently purchased by Private Equity based on the profitability of the past few years, I doubt the school is up for a major investment. My personal experiences are limited to having an issue with one or two teachers. The school leaders literally told me their job was to "defend the school." If you do send you kids there, I recommend private tutoring as a supplement.
