About the Albert College

Albert College, founded in 1857, is the oldest co-educational private boarding school in Canada. Located in Belleville, Ontario, the college has a rich history and traditions spanning over 160 years. Originally founded as a Methodist school, today Albert College is a non-denominational institution dedicated to the development of character and leadership qualities. The college prides itself on its small size, creating a close-knit, family-like community where every student is known and receives individual attention. The school is accredited by the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS). Albert College's educational philosophy is built on five "pillars": intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social development, as well as character development. This holistic approach aims to educate well-rounded and self-assured young individuals. The uniqueness of the college lies in its leadership program, which is mandatory for all students and includes volunteer work, public speaking, and mentorship. The school offers a rigorous academic program leading to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), with the opportunity to study university-level subjects (AP Capstone). Small class sizes and a supportive environment are key practices. Albert College plays a significant role in Canada's educational system as an institution with a long history and impeccable reputation. Its contribution lies in preparing responsible citizens and future leaders with a global mindset. The college's reputation is based on a strong sense of community, high academic standards, and the success of its graduates. The institution's main objectives are academic excellence, leadership potential development, fostering resilience, and preparing students for successful university studies and life in general.

I study in Canada for the third year, I plan to finish my school here (I was picked up by Albert College in Ontario) and entered the university. We chose studying in Canada with my parents: we have close relatives there for a long time, so we heard about all the advantages of this beautiful country.  We picked up the school in Smapse (the work of the agency is satisfied, and my parents and I, therefore, decided to write a review - they deserved it), and I already turn to the program for senior high school graduates. It is very convenient that you choose many subjects: in the childhood I watched American films and could not understand how they go to biology with one people, on physics with others, and on literature with the third?! In Canada, the scheme is similar, you determine what disciplines you want to study. In my opinion, it's great: there is an opportunity to prepare for the university more carefully, to learn the most important subjects without attending classes that you, in general, do not need. I like teachers very much: many young people (30-35 years old), very sociable, but without familiarity, subordination still exists and is observed. They explain difficult moments several times. Classes are very well equipped. The school territory (the campus, as it is officially called here) is more like a hotel. Of course, my school is considered one of the top schools in Canada. I really glad that I'm so lucky to study in Canada.
