About the Boston School of Modern Languages

The Boston School of Modern Languages (BSML) is one of the oldest and most well-known educational institutions in the United States specializing in the study of the English language. Founded in 1925, BSML has been providing quality educational services for almost 100 years. The school has played an important role in educating thousands of students from all corners of the world, offering both academic and professionally-oriented programs. History and key achievements: BSML began its work with the goal of educating immigrants and foreign students, helping them integrate into American society and master the English language. Over time, the school expanded its programs, offering specialized courses for business people, preparation for TOEFL and IELTS exams, as well as academic programs for admission to American universities. Among the key achievements are a high reputation among foreign students and successful preparation programs for admission to US universities. Educational philosophy: The philosophy of BSML is based on an individual approach to education, focusing on the development of communicative skills and immersion in the language environment. The school uses time-tested methods, including live communication, active participation in discussions, written exercises, and role-playing games, which help students quickly master the English language. Teaching approaches: BSML programs are adapted for students with different levels of English proficiency. Courses start at the beginner level and include advanced classes for those preparing for professional work or academic study. The main focus is on communicative skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Educational programs involve intensive immersion in the language environment, allowing students to not only learn in the classroom but also practice the language outside of it, thanks to cultural events and excursions. Role and significance: BSML plays an important role in the educational system of Boston and the United States as a whole, as it attracts a large number of foreign students annually. This educational institution is considered one of the best for preparing for admission to US universities and colleges. Graduates of the school are accepted into leading educational institutions such as Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University, and others. BSML is also known for providing quality education to professionals seeking to improve their business communication skills.

Hi, I have a daughter (5y old) and a son (7y old) and their mother tongue is spanish. I want them to do an intensive english program in june-july to help them master the language. We as a family can be in Boston first week of June for them to do a 4-5 week course. There level right now is basic and Martina (daughter) is in kindergarden starting to writte and read in Spanish. Jaime speaks-writtes in english but it will be ideal to ramp him up so he can have a strong run during the summer. What are the requirements for them to go/apply? No accomodation would be needed since they would be staying with us. thanks in advance. Santiago
