Admission conditions in California State University Los Angeles (CSULA)

Age: The minimum age for admission is 17 years old. To enter a bachelor's degree program, students must have a high school diploma (or its equivalent). Application: You can submit an application through the online platform Cal State Apply. Application fee: $70 for one program. Exam requirements: SAT or ACT - the results of these tests are no longer required for admission to a bachelor's degree program starting in the fall of 2021, but they may be used to determine proficiency in mathematics and English. For international students: Results of English language proficiency tests - TOEFL (minimum score of 61 on the Internet-based test) or IELTS (minimum score of 6.0). High school diploma: For admission, an official high school diploma is required. For international students: Translation of the diploma into English certified by an accredited translator is required. Letters of recommendation: For bachelor's programs at CSULA, letters of recommendation from teachers are not required. However, for some graduate programs, 2 letters of recommendation may be required. School report cards and transcripts: Intermediate and final report cards for the last years (11th and 12th grades) are required. Transcripts must be sent directly from the school. For international students - translated and certified transcripts of school documents. Proof of financial stability (for international students): Foreign applicants must provide proof of sufficient funds in a bank account to cover tuition and living expenses (approximately $36,000 per year). Visa application (for international students): After being admitted, students can apply for an F-1 visa. CSULA will provide Form I-20, required for applying for a student visa. Personal statement: For most bachelor's programs, a personal statement is not a mandatory requirement, but it may be required for some graduate programs. Extracurricular achievements: When applying, it is recommended to mention any achievements outside of academics, such as participation in volunteer projects, internships, sports, or cultural events. This is not a mandatory requirement, but it may increase the chances of admission.

Minimum rating for admission to California State University Los Angeles (CSULA)

GPA (Grade Point Average): For in-state students (California residents), a minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) is required at the time of high school graduation.
