Excellent school with a high level of training. They transferred my son there to the A-level program after another British school. In terms of the level of teaching, there are no complaints at all. The only downside is the location of the school. It is located north of Cambridge. Getting there is not very convenient, usually always took a school transfer from London. The territory is large and well-groomed, a decent selection of sections and circles.
Read in fullWe considered this school as one of the options when looking for a place to study for the eldest daughter. We have heard a lot of positive things about this school. We decided to contact the Smapse agency for advice and assistance in the preparation of documents. After consulting with a specialist Elena, we decided that we would try to enter Culford and 2 other schools of a similar level. I will not write about the rest of the schools here, as for Culford, it seemed to us that the requirements for foreign students here are too high. Apparently, the school initially wants to see very strong children and brilliant English, so that there are fewer problems with them. We still passed the school exams, but it was very difficult for our daughter, and we decided to consider the option with a more humane approach to foreigners and additional support.
Read in fullThe school is located in a small classical town. The area is similar to a holiday village. Ideal for children up to 16 years old. The elders there will be bored, since there is nothing to do in the city and the surrounding area. Of course, the school often organizes excursions, competitions with schools in other cities, but most of the time children still spend in Calford. The conditions on the boarding house are good. If you want a strong preparation + a calm environment, then a good option.
Read in fullThey were interested in this school in 2018, when they planned to send their daughter to study after the 9th grade in Russia. I want to thank Smapse once again for organizing our study tour of schools in England. Culford was the second school we watched. We liked the school itself: motivated students (judging by the results), strict discipline (we communicated with students), well-groomed territory and boarding. But we didn't quite triple the place then. The child was not ready to live "in the village," as she put it at the time. And indeed, there is such an absolutely rural area, opposite the school there are cottage houses. On the amateur. We, in the end, still settled on the option in Cambridge, where the college is located in the city itself.
