I learned about De Montfort at an exhibition on education abroad. Then I went to the 11th grade and planned to go to university in England. This university, at that time, offered good discounts for students from Russia. I applied through the Smpas agency, which helped me prepare documents and fill out an application and get a visa. My studies at the Art and Design Foundation Diploma program began in 2020. Due to the pandemic, training had to start online. Of course, this blurred the first impressions of my studies a little, since I did not even see the university campus, but began to study online in Russia. Online training was organized normally, we were given a lot of information for self-study, there were also lectures on zoom. But in this specialty, of course, practice is very important, so I was very happy when I could go to university and start studying full-time. The university has very good equipment, there is a lot of practice in the design program, sometimes we are given educational projects from real companies, and then companies give feedback on the project.
Read in fullThe university has a great environment, I like the university buildings themselves and the atmosphere. I studied at the bachelor's program in Business Data Analytics and I can say that this course helped me a lot in my future career. The material that we were given at lectures and seminars was really relevant and tied to the requirements of employers. In addition, the university has an excellent department for student employment, thanks to which I personally found my first job. Of the minuses, I can name a not very convenient location and the lack of a large selection of entertainment in the city.
Read in fullHe studied for a master's degree in Accounting and Finance. The lectures were informative and useful, our teachers always tried to involve us in the process with asked us questions. However, I did not understand how my program differed from the same Accounting and Business Management, for example, since most of the courses were absolutely identical. Many modules are common to all areas. Therefore, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the full program in detail before choosing a direction. The campus is small, beautiful and safe. Good student support service - if something was needed, they responded very quickly.
Read in fullI am studying at the BA in Animation program, 2nd year. He entered the university after studying at the foundation program at an international college in the UK. The university has a really good value, plus I was given a small discount after providing a portfolio. I like the university itself and the teachers. But most of my classmates are not particularly motivated to study, which is a little relaxing. I don't know about other faculties, but I notice it in ours. But we have excellent lecturers, many of whom come from the industry and have good connections. Therefore, we are often allowed to work on real projects, which is really a huge plus, because I know that this is rarely given at other universities.
