About the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI)

The Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI) is a unique academic university founded in collaboration with two global leaders in education: the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Parsons School of Design (The New School, New York). Created as part of Dubai’s broader strategy to promote knowledge-based industries and creative economies, DIDI is the first of its kind in the MENA region because of it’s unique offerings and diverse faculty, hands on teaching approach and exposure to industry from the 1st year. Academic Program: DIDI currently offers a dual discipline degree: Bachelor of Design (BDes) — a unique four-year interdisciplinary program where students create their own path by combining two out of four discipline: • Product Design • Multimedia Design • Fashion Design • Strategic Design Management The curriculum is centered on project-based learning, studio work, industry collaborations, and participation in international exhibitions, and competitions. DIDI plays an important role in the development of the region's creative industry, providing quality education and fostering the emergence of new talents. Admission conditions in Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI)

• Minimum age: 16 years old • Application process: Applications are accepted through the official website of the university. There is no fee to submit your application. • Educational qualifications: High school graduate with a diploma (Must finish K12). • Required - Completed application form - Certificate of equivalency from UAE Ministry of Education - Colored copy of passport - Passport size photo - Certificates of English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL) / Applicants whose language of instruction is English are exempt from taking English Proficiency Test if their final Grade 12 English subject average is 70% and above. - 500 word essay - Portfolio (optional) • Additional requirements for international students: English proficiency level not below IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL 61, UAE Visa (We offer support in acquiring UAE student visa) • Application deadlines: Start: Rolling basis for Fall and Spring semesters • Testing or interview: No interviews or entry exams required • Scholarships: Up to 50% based on Merit and Financial Needs
