My daughter studies second year here, finishes the program for high school students (A-level). Hurtwood House School was chosen by a combination of factors. We came to the agency for the first time, we did not know where we would study. There are good conditions here, a lot of subjects to study and a fairly reasonable price. Yes, and to London is relatively close - one can say, the "London area". She studies at the boarding school. There are a lot of useful sports studios: children do not get bored and stay behind the books for more than they should be. As for disadvantages: the high cost of additional textbooks (the basic course is included in the price, but for more effective study you need a lot of additional benefits). We will not attribute the high complexity and insufficient free time to shortcomings. But if you are looking for an option to make it easier and have more rest - Hurtwood House School will not work, it is very demanding on its students.
Read in fullMy daughter studied at Hurtwood House on the A-level program. Enrolled after the IGCSE in another English school. Hurtwood House has been known for a long time, and since my daughter wanted to take Drama as an A-level item, we decided to go here. I can say with confidence that the school is really considered to be one of the best in England in art. Teachers are first-class professionals, but they demand appropriate return from students. Indeed, success in the field of art can only be achieved through very serious work. And the students here are set up for this. We couldn't even imagine how much time and effort it might take to study drama as an A-level subject. Fortunately, the daughter set a goal in front of her and coped. Hurtwood House gave her excellent hardening and fostered hard work. Now she works in a theater in London and has her own channel on YouTube.
Read in fullThey sent the child to the summer program at Hurtwood House. I really liked the location of the school and that the school has the most modern infrastructure for art classes. The program included English lessons, entertainment programs, sports and excursions. Loved the stay. My daughter lived in a room with two other girls, it was quite spacious. The food was very good, but most of all she was filled with evenings when they gathered on the school lawn and cooked a barbecue. I also want to thank Elena from Smaps for organizing our trip and briefing before departure. Everything was great
Read in fullThe school has a beautiful campus, the main building is surrounded by green lawns and trees. Almost all sporting events were held outdoors! I really liked the excursion program. The school is located very well, during the program several times visited London, went to Oxford and looked at the sights in other smaller cities. This was the first trip of the child to the UK, before that we were only in a camp in Cyprus. The level, of course, is quite different. It seems to me that the child was even able to improve his English quite well, although it is difficult to judge this in such a short time.
