I took an English course abroad for the first time - of course, I could not resist the opportunity to study at Cambridge, even if there were options that are much cheaper. I liked studying very much: from educators to educational materials - no rules of outdated or centenary examples, everything is new, a lot of interactivity. For example, we discussed daily CNN news, watched movies. First with subtitles, then without. Even Lady Gaga's songs were analyzed for conversational phrases and idioms. In Cambridge it is very beautiful: we had excursions (survey, on the university itself, on local architectural "pearls"), and just going for a walk - to go to a restaurant, to shops, to sit on a lawn for a chat. By the way, we were lucky with the weather that summer and we didn’t even rain at all, so don’t believe all the prejudices about the English weather much.)
