My daughter underwent a preparatory program before entering the first year of undergraduate studies. We considered a ranking university in New York with a strong preparatory program. The son of our friends studied at Pace, so the university was familiar to us. Of course, there were a lot of Asian students on the preparatory program, probably more than 75%. With her frankly not brilliant level of English, Anya was one of the best on the course) She moved to the first year without any problems at all. As for the support of students from the university, it was tangible in the preparatory program. My daughter had an academic curator who regularly reminded her about the deadlines for submitting assignments, various events were organized for the students of the course. On the main program, such support is much less. If there were any questions, Anya had to personally solve them with the teachers, and it was difficult to reach some of them. However, the curators who are engaged in internships and employment worked very well. My daughter was selected several times internships taking into account his wishes. I was very pleased with such an attentive attitude.
Read in fullI entered the first year of undergraduate studies this year. He entered after a private school in New York. First impressions of the university are still contradictory. On the one hand, the university has a good convenient location, a modern residence. In terms of studies, in my faculty (Public Accounting) there are 3 excellent teachers, the professor who teaches mathematics is just great, I have not met a person who could convey complex material so clearly. Of the minuses - I really believe that the price of the program is overstated. I compare with other options in NY and really understand that I overpay. I will think about transferring to a more affordable university.
Read in fullMy son and I attended this university last summer. It was a study visit organized for us by the Smapse agency. Both the university itself and the staff who accompanied us left a very good impression. Since this was the height of the pandemic, the university paid special attention to compliance with sanitary standards. Realistically, all the students and teachers were wearing masks, the premises were constantly being treated. We were also introduced to Career Services staff who help students with employment. I was really impressed by how attentive the university is to this issue, the list of companies with which they cooperate, we were very impressed. Unfortunately, due to difficulties with obtaining a visa, the child could not go to the program this year. But we do not lose hope and want to consider this option for a master's degree.
Read in fullHe studied at Pace for a master's degree in business. In general, the level of teaching is normal, but with some teachers there were constant difficulties. Communication with students is generally a weak point of Pace. Some teachers had to wait several days for a response. When the issue was urgent, it was stressful. The dining room would also not hurt to expand. Students have always lacked space and variety of food) Maybe it's better with this now.
