Education at RIS starts from kindergarten (age 2) and continues until 11th grade / Year 13, ensuring continuity and integrity in the learning process at all stages. Admission conditions in Russian International School (RIS)

Admission to the school is carried out in stages and includes submitting an application, providing a package of documents, passing entrance testing, and an interview with a psychologist. Foreign students are accepted on equal terms. The competition for a spot is high - on average, there are 4 applicants for one spot. An important requirement for candidates is knowledge of Russian and English languages at a level that allows successful completion of the educational program. The level of language preparation, especially in middle and senior classes, is assessed during the admission process. If necessary, the school can offer preparatory language courses. List of necessary documents for admission: - application from parents (legal representatives); - copy of the child's birth certificate or passport; - copy of parent's passport; - child's medical card and vaccination certificate; - previous academic records or certificate (when entering middle/senior school - with grades not lower than "good"); - psychological characteristics or reference from the previous educational institution (optional); - photos (3x4 cm) - 2 pcs.; - for foreign citizens - copy of visa and/or migration card, translation of documents into Russian (if required).

Minimum rating for admission to Russian International School (RIS)

The school expects that students applying to RIS will have consistent grades of 4 (good) or above in major subjects on their school transcript or certificate from their previous educational institution. Special attention is given to subjects related to mathematics, languages, and natural sciences. When applying to the senior classes, academic achievements and student motivation are also important. For international students, this is equivalent to a Grade B or higher level on the international scale (in systems such as British, IB, American GPA of 3.0 or above), as well as positive recommendations from the previous school and stable academic performance in key disciplines.

Great school! Our child attended RIS for three years in elementary school (grades 1 to 3). We had to move to Spain afterward and enrolled in an English-speaking school. Thanks to RIS, the transition was smooth — our child was fully prepared and adapted quickly to studying entirely in English. We're very grateful for the solid foundation RIS provided!

Очень нравится, что учителя не читают с листа, а ведут настоящие живые уроки — с проектами, играми, дискуссиями. У ребёнка за этот год появилась не только любовь к чтению, но и уверенность в себе. Отдельный плюс — индивидуальный подход и сильная психологическая поддержка. Педагог знает не только академические успехи, но и эмоциональное состояние ребёнка. И это чувствуется.

Хорошая школа, ребёнку нравится, учителя вежливые, объясняют понятно. Английский стал лучше, начали больше читать. Понравилось, что классы маленькие и к каждому подход находят. Да, дорого, но оно того стоит.
