A GREAT place with strong teachers, where time is given not only to studying, but also to developing the interests and talents of the child! A bunch of clubs in which children take a very active part. In my opinion, this is one of the best schools in England for studying music and the arts. There, almost a third of the children are engaged in music! It was here that my daughter learned to play the guitar, although she had no interest in it at home). Accommodation is normal, there are no super-comfortable conditions and the latest renovation, in this school the value is in another
Read in fullWe set the agency the task of choosing an educational institution for a child of 15 years old. The task was not easy, since the child is engaged in rowing, and we considered only those schools that offer this sport. We were advised to consider King's Ely as the main option as the school was strong in terms of academic training + there was just rowing at a professional level. The admission process was as follows: they passed the tests, then an interview with the director took place, then waited a few more days for the result, although already during the interview we were hinted that the child was waiting for school. My son began his studies at school in September 2019. In short, of the unequivocal advantages, I can note an excellent level of training (especially in technical disciplines), they ask quite a lot, but not so that children no longer have time for anything at all. Rowing is also at a good level - the school is well located next to the canal. Our rowing team often wins prizes in city and national competitions.
Read in fullKing’s, Ely was the foundation for my career as a trial attorney (barrister). One of the greatest educations my parents could have provided. The fondest memories of one of the truly great schools in all of the UK. Miss it terribly and wish I could relive it all.
Read in fullThe daughter began her studies in 19. The school was chosen on the recommendation of our friends, with whom my daughter studied there. I never had to regret the choice I made. Upon admission, the daughter passed an exam in English, mathematics and an analogue of the IQ test. The tests were not easy. Even taking into account the fact that we began to prepare for them in advance, 3 months in advance. Here I want to thank the Smapse agency, which accompanied the admission process and organized testing in its office. The answer on the test results was received about a week later. We were very formed when we found out that my daughter was accepted. The school is really beautiful. The level of academic preparation is high, homework has always been set very voluminous. Good, modern infrastructure: the school has a heated outdoor swimming pool, a beautiful modern sports hall, football fields and tennis courts. Cutie has many friends from this school, mostly British. Initially, there were very few foreign students there.
