About the UC Berkeley Summer Camps
UC Berkeley summer camps are a program organized by the Recreation & Wellbeing department of the famous University of California, Berkeley. Using the infrastructure of one of the world's leading universities, these camps offer children and teenagers a unique opportunity to spend part of the summer in a dynamic and educational campus environment. The camps are not academic programs of the university in the traditional sense, but are oriented towards general development, relaxation, and acquisition of new skills through games and active leisure. The educational and developmental philosophy of the camps is based on principles of encouraging curiosity, developing social skills, and physical activity in an informal setting. The uniqueness lies in access to the global resources of the UC Berkeley campus, including sports facilities, pools, and parks. Methods and practices include learning through play, team building, creative workshops, and sports activities led by experienced instructors, many of whom are university students. The contribution of these camps to the educational system lies in providing quality and meaningful summer activities for children in the San Francisco Bay Area community. Their reputation is closely related to the UC Berkeley brand, which earns a high level of trust from parents. The camps allow children to experience the university atmosphere, which can inspire them to further their education. The main goals of the institution are to provide a safe, fun, and developmental environment, develop self-confidence, encourage teamwork, and strengthen the physical health of participants.

Thank you so much for the trip! My son had long dreamed of going to the USA, and as he grew up, he wanted to go to some big and famous university, and Berkeley, according to your recommendation, approached us perfectly. We took a course with a humanitarian bias, and my son liked the classes, it was interesting, every day something new. The teachers are young for the most part, so they communicate with children skillfully, almost on an equal footing, they constantly organized some games and performances, there were no textbooks as such. There are no questions about food-living - not a five-star hotel, but there is nothing to complain about. I liked the excursions, even the first sightseeing walk around the campus (and it is very large) was already interesting, and when they started to leave! On trips, good guides, but not enough time to visit the sights, try to accommodate a lot of objects in one tour, which leaves a little "gallop across Europe". Transfer for children was a group, all without delay, met and carried out, on time and accurately. We are very pleased with the trip, thank you, we plan something new for next year!
