West Buckland School

The West Buckland school was discovered in 2018 during a consultation at the Smaps exhibition. We were looking for a school for the youngest son of 14 years old near Taunton. Initially, we considered Taunton International, but we were offered to consider West Buckland for comparison. We decided to apply to both schools, went there and there, but settled on West Buckland, because we wanted the school to be more intimate, and not a huge college. Manager Julia helped with the preparation of documents, to whom we are very grateful for her attentive attitude and support during her studies. Now the child is in the 11th grade. We are very pleased with the learning environment and the level of training at the school, attentive and friendly attitude towards all foreign students. During the pandemic and quarantine, my son received an almost full-fledged program, online learning was well organized.

A good school for an adequate cost. We picked up a school for a child in the southwestern part of the country, because we do business in Ashford. I can say that West Buckland is one of the best international schools in the region. A classic old building, good living conditions and excellent food - it was not scary to send the child to the boarding house. The only drawback is that you will have to get to London for more than 3 hours by train, but in our case it was not important. Otherwise, the child likes the school.

At WBS, I studied at the A-level program. She graduated from high school in 2019. The school has a good program in art and design. The school has a separate building for Arts classes, 3 modern art studios, a lot of new equipment and excellent teachers. A separate plus of the school is the food in the cafeteria. There was always a lot of it, and the choice was great)

Last year, our daughter Ksenia graduated from the A-level program at WBS. I would like to note the excellent work of the curator, who helped with admission to universities and helped her daughter with the submission of documents not only to British universities, but also to several European ones. Thanks to this, my daughter was able to enroll in a university in Paris for a bachelor's degree program in business. I also want to thank Smaps for advice on choosing a program and assistance in obtaining a student visa.

Last year, we sent a child on spring break to the GCSE revision program, since our school does not have such a program during the holidays. The child really liked the course itself and the teachers. For 2 weeks we managed to repeat a lot, the child said that the course helped him in passing the exams, so I can recommend this program.
