We found out about this school at a consultation at the Smaps agency when we were looking for a school with accommodation near Lisbon. We were only interested in Portugal, as there is a business in Lisbon, but there is no way to live there permanently, so we were interested in the boarding house. This school has become the only suitable option. We were also assisted with the enrollment process by the Smaps agency and manager Ilya. My son took an English test, and then there was an interview. The whole process took about two weeks, along with the collection of documents. The main difficulties arose at the stage of obtaining a student visa. We were warned that this is a long process, so we began to collect documents in advance, about six months before the start of our studies. I want to say a special thank you to the visa manager Ksenia for her help in this time-consuming process. The child likes the school. He mainly communicates with Portuguese children, there are few foreigners at school. Among the shortcomings, I can note the insufficiently coordinated work of the administration and the financial department. You have to wait a long time for bills from the school, and if questions arise about them, the employees of the financial department also do not respond quickly.
Read in fullTwo months ago we were on a visit to this school. The school is mainly attended by local children, many of whom study full-time. There was an opportunity to attend a math lesson. I was a little embarrassed by the number of people in the class, there were more than 25 of them by eye, which, it seems to me, is too much for a private school. I liked the teacher very much, we stayed in the lesson for about 30 minutes, and all this time we listened to him with great interest. The children in the class also looked interested. Other lessons, unfortunately, were not possible to attend.
Read in fullLast year, my fifteen-year-old son started studying at this school. We chose this option, as there is real estate in the area, besides, St. Peter's is the only international school with instruction in English in this region. My son's first language is English. He learns Portuguese only for the second year, so we considered the main training in English. However, the school, especially in the junior and middle grades, is dominated by Portuguese. The administration is also mostly linguistic. Therefore, it will be difficult to study here only with English.
