About the Trinity Christian College (TCC)

Trinity Christian College is a private Christian liberal arts college founded in 1959 by a group of young Chicago business leaders who wanted a college in the Reformed Christian tradition (the idea arose on April 5, 1956). The college is interdenominational. The campus is about 25 miles southwest of Chicago; its area is given variously as 50 to 130 acres. Total enrollment is about 830–900 (about 830–850 undergraduates and roughly 30–55 graduate students), and the student-faculty ratio is 10:1. The college is known for teacher preparation, business and nursing; in most majors students must also complete a minor of at least 18 credit hours (exceptions are double majors, nursing, social work and business with an upper-level concentration). Courses emphasize homework, projects and papers over tests alone. An Adult Studies Accelerated Program has operated since 1999, a fully online criminal justice program is offered, and master's programs (counseling psychology and special education) have been offered since 2012. Accreditation is regional, and nursing is accredited by CCNE. Teams compete in the NAIA (Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference) and the college is a member of the NCCAA.
